Ugh

So Frances Bean Cobain is going to make her singing debut. Recent pictures of her show that she's unfortunately taking after her mother.

Shame.

The album she's going to be featured on (no word of a solo career yet) is Amanda Palmer's (Dresden Dolls) latest project, Evelyn Evelyn, with Jason Webley.

Now this track honestly perplexes me. According to the article, this ONE track is going to feature Frances, Gerard Way, Andrew W.K, and Weird Al. It also says the track (but it has to mean the album) will include Tegan and Sara, Franz Nicolay, Margaret Cho, Eugene Mirman, and various members of Mindless Self-Indulgence [Twentyfourbit.com].

So although I'm hesitant of Frances, having heard nothing before, this album sounds...pretty goddamn cool. For those of you who have never checked out the Dresden Dolls or Amanda Palmer's solo work, I suggest you do. It's quite good. And those are some pretty rockin' guest performers.

Whether it's all these artists on one track, or it is indeed the album, I suggest you investigate it on March 30th when the album comes out. You can hear three songs on their Myspace. It's sort of different from what I've heard from Palmer in the past, it's quite...showtuney, if I may steal one of the words they use. It reminds me of music from the 20's, with circus music, with elements of old Disney songs. So yes, pretty cool. Different, but at the same time very much fits with what I would expect.

On a pretty much unrelated note, Courtney Love lost custody of Frances. About goddamn time.

Fall Out Boy is no more

Band's broken up. I could tell you the same redundant bullshit Google would, or I can just link you.

here.

Personally, I don't really care. They've been downhill to me since From Under the Cork Tree. They really changed their sound to me in a way that was just begging for mainstream success. And to their credit, they got it.

Someone should write a song in honor of the band called "Selling Out Is Fun Because You Can Totally Deny It Later (And So Is Having Ridiculously Long Song Titles That Could Just Be Two Words But Then It Wouldn't Be Cool)"

For those of you that don't get the joke, check out the tracklist of From Under the Cork Tree and look at Pete Wentz's Twitter post below.

Right. Because you've NEVER made a fiscally motivated decision. And there is NO WAY anyone could ever accuse your band of selling out.

I also find it funny how the other band members were like "Okay, fine, I quit too." Like it makes a difference and to have that same "cool attitude" Wentz had.

Anyway, that's it. I don't feel like turning this into a rant, so I wont.
